Salmon

90 percent of the salmon sold in the United States is farmed. Unfortunately, farmed salmon has been found to contain residues of PCBs and other toxic contaminants, as well as residues of antibiotics and other drugs.
The average dioxin level in farm-raised salmon is 11 times higher than in wild salmon, and the average PCB levels are 36.6 parts per billion (ppb) in farm-raised salmon, versus 4.75 ppb in wild salmon.

Comments

Atlantic salmon then, is it farmed salmon that's just called "Atlantic Salmon" or does it mean it is wild samlom caught in the Atlantic Ocean?
